As much as I love the aggressiveness of Kenny Williams this off-season, and relish the prospect of watching my hometown White Sox next year, especially with the team's offense at it's currently shaping up, I truly wonder how the pitchers feel about their new roster.
After all, honesty compels me to wonder aloud if the 2011 Sox defense -- which at times could feature some toxic combination of Adam Dunn, Juan Pierre, Carlos Quentin and Dayan Viciedo (not to mention the possibility at some point of Tyler Flowers) -- might not eventually disintegrate into a carnival of errors, misplays and bad routes, just a couple of elephants and a tiny car full of clowns short of a full-fledged circus.
The good news is that each of those guys plays a corner position, and with A.J. Pierzynski, Alexei Ramirez, Gordon Beckham and Alex Rios manning the center of the diamond, the White Sox promise to be as solid (and occasionally spectacular) up the middle as any team in baseball.
